How double brokering works

A load changes hands outside the agreed carrier relationship.

The handoff

A party accepts a tender, then offers the shipment to another carrier without the broker’s informed agreement. The truck at pickup may operate under a different authority from the one on the rate con.

Where to look

Match the tendered carrier, dispatch contact, driver and equipment. Confirm unexpected handoffs by calling independently verified contacts. Preserve the communication trail with the load.

Continue the check. Public records are a starting point. Run a carrier lookup →
